Gordon Way Out , Tropics Taking Nap, PM T-Storms Here

Most of us hope, after Francine, that we are done with this hurricane season.  Unfortunately, that may not be the case as several models are hinting of a Caribbean system forming in the 10-14 day time frame.  That's a way off so I won't get concern since it does no good to worry about something that isn't there yet.  What is out there is Tropical Storm Gordon that will remain a fish storm so it's not our concern.

There is an area off the East Coast that NHC highlights for development.

This area is actually connected to what's left of Francine circulation that is now more an upper low. It is spinning spokes of energy around it triggering daytime heating storms.

We could see some spotty showers before the sun sets this evening and they'll redevelop Sunday & Monday.  Otherwise, let's enjoy LSU's comeback win, Tulane hanging tough with Oklahoma & a Saints win (31-30!) over the Cowboys tomorrow.  Go Who Dats!  Stay tuned!
