As most of you know, I am a 1969 graduate (B.S. Meteorology& Oceanography) of THE University of Michigan. Today they were a 3 TD underdog against rival Ohio State in Columbus having lost 17 starters from last season's National Championship team. Well, both teams were in a giving mood trading interceptions in the red zone. Somehow Michigan pulled it out to make it 4 in a row!
If that game didn't put you in a "giving mood", here's an upcoming event where you could find the perfect gift for Christmas for your loved one.
It's an open house at Degas Gallery on Magazine Street on Dec. 7th, where some of Brenda's art will be on display. Come by and say hi as I'll be by her side. In addition, pick up a copy of Inside New Orleans.
Jonee Ferrand, owner/publisher of Inside New Orleans has released the Dec/Jan. issue featuring Brenda's art on the cover. Inside you can read the story about Brenda's work. So proud! Weather-wise, we still have the cold pattern set up over the eastern states.
The flow over the Great Lakes is straight out of Canada where temps remain well below zero. Note how the flow over us is more west to east. That will keep the core of the cold well to our north. Temps did drop below freezing over parts of the North Shore this morning and that will be the case for the next couple of mornings. No problems for us south of Lake P.
A series of Canadian "clippers" will dive across the northern Plains into the Ohio Valley leaving some snow with each system. That will add to the Sunday travel woes as folks try to return home after Thanksgiving.
There are some clouds to our south and west that may overspread us, but they are not rain producers.
Our next rain chance will arrive later in the week when warmer air and higher humidity return. IF you're dressed for it, this cool, crisp air feels great! Kinda like Mee-Chee Gan beating THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Great! Now, if only the Saints can win?!!! Who Dats 31, Rams 24. Stay tuned!
