This is going to be a quick blog post as nothing is happening. After watching several AM weather programs, I'm expecting more hype coming this week just like last week with Invest 93L. NHC will probably start highlighting an area over the Northern Gulf for development. Last night's weathercasts & this mornings all show moisture from a Tropical Wave moving westward across Florida by early Wednesday. NO model develops this system and my hope is it is just another open wave since the Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo begins on Thursday. You can see the upper low east of the Bahamas with northing left from 93L.
NHC continues to highlight an area out in the Atlantic just to keep themselves busy. There is so much Saharan dust out there that will limit development, but have to talk about something. We will be hearing about the dangerous heat coming this week.
The reason for the increasing heat is in the upper air pattern. An upper high will move over us and then head farther to the north. We begin with today.
The center of the high drifts over us by Tuesday (middle) and then we start to see that tropical Wave/inverted trough show up on Wednesday. By Friday (Top) the Wave shifts over the western Gulf and reaches Texas (Bottom) on Saturday.
Will we have impacts? Maybe, but after 3-4 hot, dry days, we'll welcome some daily Storms. Again, the focus is on the heat.
