Saw these graphics on Zack Fradella"s morning weather.

Look how much less hot we have been compared to that record summer of 2023.  August 2023 had 15 days of 100+ temps.  No signs of that happening this year as the heat dome is gone and that upper trough should mean higher rain chances & less hot temps this weekend. There is an ill-defined frontal boundary draped over the Southeast.

North of the front temps are in the 70s with dew points in the 50s.  That's good feeling air, but it's not coming here.  Too soon, but in another 5-6 weeks, we could see an early-season September front. A few storms are around today.  No rain and it's mid-90s.

For the next 4-6 weeks, any changes will be subtle, unless there's a tropical disturbance. The Atlantic MDR (Main Development Region) remains dead.

The weak wave moving over Puerto Rico is not expected to develop, so August will begin quiet.  A perfect time to subscribe to my new podcast.

There are websites already hyping what might be coming.

Basically, these maps are climatology, the regions in mid-August where we see tropical activity develop.  My podcast won't over hype or scare, but rather keep you prepared & ready to act if need be.  Come join me, Gang,  Stay tuned!
