I'm waiting for NHC's 4 pm advisory to see if they upgrade Invest 98 L to TD 13. Satellite view clearly indicate a mid level circulation, and T-Storms are forming just south of that rotation. All models strengthen this disturbance into our next named storm with many making it a major Hurricane later this week,
Their Tropical Weather Outlook gives it a high chance (90%) for development and it's moving into the warmest waters of the Caribbean. It's gonna happen.
Of note, look at the cool down across the northern Gulf. With more fronts coming, we have no worries from 98 L.
Most model turn it to the north with a few into central America. Just in, NHC is NOT making it a depression yet. Probably later tonight or on Tuesday. A recon aircraft is scheduled to investigate on Tuesday Locally, fronts are coming.
The next dip in the Jet Stream is over the Dakotas pushing to the Southeast. It will bring us our next front for late Tuesday into Wednesday.
With return moisture coming out of the Gulf limited, we should not see much rain with it.
The North Shore dipped into the 40s this morning and more of that is coming this week. Even colder weather is coming for Halloween week. This is my hip surgery week. I will try to do a new podcast before then. Stay tuned!
