Every Things Super, Need Rain Up River, Staying Warm

I guess it started back in 1967 when the NFL began calling the championship game "Super Bowl."  Then came Hurricane Sandy in 2012 that someone named "Super Storm Sandy".  But lately, everything seems to be super.  There's Super Moon, Super Fog etc.  Next up is "Super wedge" referring to the saltwater wedge coming up the Mississippi River.  Since our weather remains boring, I try to find items of interest that you won't find from our local weathercasters.  Let's begin with the wedge coming up the River due to the lack of rainfall up river from us.  The Carrollton gauge briefly dipped below 2 feet this week and is basically flat for the next week.

However, the WPC's Weather Prediction Center) 7 day total rainfall does bring a bullseye(5-7") to our north and west for next week.

That will come as a storm over California today lifts out into the Plains by midweek bringing a frontal boundary with it. A second one near Alaska will be the one that might finally bring an end to our dry spell and warmth here.  Usually when we've very warm, the weather flips to very cold.  That might make for a cold start in December. Dare I call it "Super cold!"  It's up over Alaska.

For now, the upper pattern has a huge warm ridge over much of the nation.

Only in the Northeast do we find any chilly air.  Most of the country is 70+.  Without any fronts around, the only weather issue is daily morning fog.

Frankly, I'm enjoying our current mild spell as we know what's coming in December through March.  If only it could be like this for 8 months of the year instead of 2.

The most difficult thing for me this year is seeing the best Golf & Fishing weather go by without being able to do either.  Today is day 23 since hip replacement and I do feel there is less soreness each day.  I'm walking well and will try swinging a golf club after Thanksgiving.  This has been a challenging year in my life, but I've been motivated & humbled by the hundreds of comments from my loyal viewers.  The Creator is not done with my life and I'm excited to begin the next chapter in December.  Continue to follow me as I journey on a path I do not know the way.   It's all about Faith & Trust with lots of forgiveness.  Being a senior citizen doesn't mean you give up living.   Stay tuned!
