Tomorrow makes 2 weeks since hip surgery, but I had my 2 week check up today.
X-rays showed Dr. Estrada did a remarkable job and I have the hip of a 20 year old! I feel great with the exception of the soreness around the incision that is slowly getting better. I still use ice packs at night and sometimes during the day. I will try to get off the oxycodone tonight and hope the extra strength Tylenol works.
Doesn't it look beautiful?!!! look out ladies, I'll be dancing before Christmas! Just need to find a new dancing partner!!! Watching Zack this morning and he had me heading into my closet to find my Winter gear.
If you live north of Lake Pontchartrain, you have the next couple of days to prepare for the first freeze of the season. It's still 4-5 days away so we have time. What will bring us the chill? It's starting on the West Coast.
All that low pressure off the West Coast will force a ridge over the West and a deep trough over the East.
We don't see that eastern dip yet, but the models show it's coming. Here's the GFS valid or Sunday & Tuesday.
That deep trough will bring down the Canadian air, but notice how the trough quickly retreats on Tuesday.
We obviously have the muggies back and the next 3 days will feel more summer-like.
We have lots of clouds around today, but radar is finding no rain is falling.
Even though my house is fore sale, I have to get it ready for Winter. I will do that during the next 3 days while it's still warm. Note, the 20-25 degree temperature drop next week will require us to bring out the sweaters and heavy coats. Hey, Hurricane Threat vs Cold Air? Do we even have to take a vote?!!! I will do a brief podcast tomorrow as we will be taping Bruce Katz for next week. You can only watch if you subscribe for $2/month at bobbreck.com. More guests to follow. Stay tuned!
