TD # 15 Coming?

All signs tonight point to NHC not making the Gulf low 280 miles SE of New Orleans TD #15 as surface pressures are not falling and the low is leaving the warmest waters and heading into slightly cooler water closer to the coasts. However, don't be surprised by the gusty winds and briefly heavy squalls during the day on Thursday. This would be much needed rainfall as for the year we are over a foot below normal (average). Once this low gets inland and away from us, we should see a warm, summer-like weekend with a few spotty daytime showers. Computer models try to develop another low over the Bahamas and move it westward over the southern Gulf late in the weekend. IF it does form, it should stay far to our south. Again, expect Thursday to be rainy at times, rather breezy, but there should also be some sunny breaks.

If something changes, I'll update the blog.

Bob,
The surface lows you talk about, how high do they extend above the surface..and the upper lows, what is their starting point in the atmosphere and how far do they extend into the atmosphere? Also the distance between the surface low and the upper low?
