Ol' Man Winter, He keep on rollin' Along...

Much of the Lower 48 continues in the grip of a long, cold, snowy/rainy winter with no signs of Spring yet. I think most folks would much rather have a warmer climate than a colder climate anyday. They are sick of Winter and so am I. I will be curious to see if we break the record coldest February (1978) ever.

Yet another southern system will bring us a cold rain on Friday that could change to snow once again over parts of the N-shore towards daybreak on Saturday. Clearing skies will follow for Sat. PM with a Sunny Sunday on tap with warmer temps. However, here comes another fast moving system bringing us another rain threat for Monday with yet again the possibility of seeing a sleet/snow mix Monday night into Tuesday.

Looking longe range, the models are hinting that NEXT week(not this) we could finally see some real Spring-like weather...maybe even some 70s. Bring it on...I'm ready!

So, are we REALLY thinking we may get some flurries Saturday AM and again on Monday or Tuesday? So many near misses.... Hope so since we are off on Saturday but could cause a mess at the beginning of the week for workers. Does the southsore stand a chance at all of getting any of this?

Nahette,

Despite the very cold air that will be aloft, the low levels will be too warm for snow Saturday AM. Were just going to get a cold rain. Sorry.

Hey Bob... i look at the NAM and GFS a lot and both of them (at least today) are not advertising that much wintry weather for the Northshore on either Sat a.m. or Tues a.m. What other models are thinking this will be wintry mix for us? (the last GFS 18z did put minor accummulations to I-12, put now its moved up to Meridian area...)

What cha think, Bob?
