Dramatic Warm Up Coming...

Went outside tonight and was smacked in the face by a blast of cold air that made me feel like I was back up in Michigan in the heart of Winter. Whew it's brutal if you're not dressed for it. But I have good news. It's not gonna last much longer. Monday will still be cool but by Tuesday we'll flirt with 70 and we should be 70+ for the rest of the week. Don't get carried away here since I still don't see us reaching 80 this month. More cold fronts will be coming, but each one will pack less and less of a punch as the sun angle gets higher and higher. Our next rain chance? Maybe Thursday or Friday, but that system doesn't look very potent.

Nothing much to talk about weather-wise for tonight. The big story will be the chilly temperatures. If you plan on going out this evening you will need your sweaters because temperatures will quickly fall into the 50's by 8pm and eventually dropping into the 40's later on. High Pressure will settle in for tonight and this will keep our winds rather light and our skies mostly clear with the exception of a few high clouds. High Pressure and mostly clear skies will allow for good radiational cooling tonight and this should allow everyone to drop into the low to mid 40's. Conditions also favor for some patchy fog in the morning so don't be surprised if there is some when you walk out the door in the morning.

OMG....my son had his friends over last Friday and one of them jumped into the pool. They were in the lot next door playing football and had gotten all hot and sweaty...So he jumped in the pool to cool off.

He said the water was pretty cold...Duh!!! I should have told him the hospital has equipment that can jump start your heart if you want...you don't need to jump in my pool.

Definitely need to give the pool some attention soon. Algae starting to form and I now am totally out of chemicals...At least the supplies lasted the winter...

Still have not replaced last years broken thermometer so no pool temp available...still way too cold to jump in...but then again I am older than my son's friend.

Thanks for the updates Bob and Onlyreal...

Burbon...that pool is sounding more and more inviting....Three more weeks or so and it will be "swimmable"!!!! Thanks to BOB and ONLY REAL for your continued weather support. Don't know what we would do without you! Hopefully this coming weekend will be not only beautiful but warm! Do I smell SPRING????

A few changes have occurred weather-wise in our area since last night, although they are not that noticeable. High Pressure that was over our area yesterday has moved east of our area and this has caused our winds become more southerly and to increase. This will consequentially keep our temperatures in check tonight, in other words, it will feel much more comfortable tonight compared to last night especially if you wear a light sweater or something long sleeved. There will be some high thin clouds thanks to the Sub-Tropical Jet-stream but they shouldn't bother anybody. Like I said earlier temperatures will not be as chilly tonight, the Northshore will drop into the upper 40's and everyone on the Southshore should drop into the low 50's. Once again we may see some fog develop overnight and it will be a little more widespread than last night, some area's, especially if you are near a body of water, could briefly see some dense fog when you leave for work tomorrow morning.
