NHC dropped the chance for development of an area of low pressure out in the tropical Atlantic from medium to low this afternoon. Tonight's satellite loop shows a flair up of T-Storms, but the system is nearing much stronger wind shear just to its west. Hard to believe any storms will survive once they encounter the shear. Elsewhere the tropics remain quiet as we have made it thru 1/2 of June. Since November is usually quiet for Louisiana, that leaves only about 4 to 4 1/2 months left to worry.
In the short term, it appears our daily storms have returned and that shud keep us less hot. kind of unusual today as our high (91) was reached at 10:14 AM followed by the low (74) at 11:35 AM during a heavy T-Storm that brought some small hail and lots of lightning.
