Tropics WORLDWIDE still are quiet tonight. Several areas are looking better organized so it's just a matter of time before storms start forming, or will they? I'm still not sold on a huge blow up in activity since there remains all the upper lows(TUTT) out in the Atlantic into the Gulf. The longer it stays quiet...
In the short term, our daily T-Storms should develop during peak heating although coverage maybe lower the next 2 days. Computers are trying to bring back a wet regime for next week as a weak front will get close late Sunday into Monday with the possibility of low pressure forming along it and moving back westward towards us. Seen that before this summer? Yep.

I see that they are developing "invest #5. That is not good news...Crusing in 8 days! Most models bring it up the east coast or possibly just north and out to sea. Another developing low off the Carolinas also may develop into something more. Bob, I'm really getting concerned. All summer long it has been quiet and now just 8 days before we set sail, the tropics seem to be semi-exploding. Now, I know it's that time of year but for peat's sake, not NOW!!!
relax, don't worry about things you can't control.
Nashette...
After looking at a lot of stuff I am going to say that the forecast for your cruise is looking bright hurricane-wise.

Nice to see you back OnlyReal!!! Its good news you give about Nashette's cruise...
Speaking of the cruise, some lyrics for you and your bon voyage
"My boat sails stormy seas
Battles oceans filled with tears
At last my port's in view
Now that I've discovered you"
Have a great trip.
One wonders why you worry about a cruise during hurricane season Nashette? If you told me you were going to Grand Cayman, Cozumet, Virgin islands etc. I'd be worried. But you are on a ship that is MOVEABLE. It won't go where a storm does. If you're on an island when a storm comes, where do you go? Lucky you...you're on a ship. Enjoy !
BAM!!!! true
