Let the Parades Begin...

As we approach the 1st real weekend of Carnival parades, attention shifts to the chances for rain. Unless models are out to lunch, it appears all parades rolling Friday, Saturday or Sunday should roll dry. The East Coast trough is forecasted to sharpen driving another cold front thru us by Saturday AM re-enforcing the cool, dry airmass we're currently enjoying. Parades Saturday night & Sunday will have to cope with rather chilly temperatures(highs in 50s ) and brisk north winds making it feel even colder. Temperatures will stay above freezing (even on the N-Shore) but you'll need the heavy weather gear. A rapid warm up arrives Monday PM (60s) with Tuesday & Wednesday back into the 70s as another front approaches. Looking long range, Mardi Gras weekend could be quite unsettled with several rainy periods and rather chilly temperatures. Not what parade goers like to hear. Stay Tuned!

Hey bob the 00z gfs shows very cold air coming for this Saturday (like highs not getting out of 40s)... Is that just counted as an outlier model for now? I thought gfs wasn't on board with bringing the cold down... Just curious thanks
