Winter Is Over...Hello Spring

Meteorological Winter ends tomorrow with Met. Spring beginning on March 1st. Since we haven't really had much winter-like temperatures, it's no surprise to find way too warm weather once again. In fact we may flirt with record heat for the next 3 days until our next front arrives on Saturday morning. With warm, moist air flowing over our cool lake waters, morning fog will be a problem so allow extra drive time. Highs will be 80+ Wed-Friday before cooling back into the 60s for Sat-Sunday. The cool down will be brief as we warm up again for next week.

If this SW flow pattern persists into hurricane season, what will that mean for us?

It would mean El Nino is forming increasing wind shear over the tropics resulting in fewer storms. Way too soon to know that.
