A strong cold front is surging towards south Louisiana and should reach us sometime after daybreak on Friday. Heavy T-Storms should weaken as the front approaches and it appears the real heavy rains will stay away from us. Expect some morning showers on Friday with a cooler and drier afternoon. If the front can push down off our coast, Saturday should stay cool and dry. The front will return northward on Sunday, but again the bulk of the rain should stay to our north and west. Hopefully, the weather will co-operate for the many parades this weekend.
Looking into next week, we'll see a return of warm weather with highs nearing 80+ again. I'll be spending time in my garden this weekend getting it ready for Spring.
Reading reports that La Nina has ended and El Nino is coming on. That would be good news for our hurricane season as El Ninos usually mean more wind shear over the tropics resulting in fewer tripical storms & hurricanes. Stay tuned!

Bob did La Nina bring us a milder winter this past year?
We moved to Denham Springs and what we miss the most is Bob Breck. He always made us feel secure because we totally trust him and believe him to be the best weatherman in the whole world. We are grateful to still have Bob on our computer. THANK YOU!
