I know NHC has had a boring tropical season so it comes as no surprise that they would give a name to a well defined swirl way out in the Atlantic. Year ago under Neil Frank or Bob Sheets, NHC would not have given this “sub-tropical” system a name. But it’s a different era of technology.
A weak front has sagged down to the coast, but it’s not bringing much in the way of cooler air. A weak upper disturbance is racing across Texas and will keep some clouds over us on Tuesday, but any showers should stay offshore. We see a rapid warm up later this week ahead of our next much stronger cold front coming on Saturday. We’ll have to pay attention for the possibility of severe weather ahead of this next front. Way too soon to know. Another freeze is likely for north of the Lake by Monday morning. Stay tuned!
