Ugly pattern setting up.

The coldest air since last March has invaded the lower 48 states and it will arrive to make us much colder this weekend.  Normally when a cold front moves thru, we dry out and clear out. That won’t happen this weekend as a strong upper disturbance along the West Coast will create an over-running situation across the southern states as it heads eastward.  We will briefly dry our Sat. PM into Sunday, but a cold rain should arrive Monday with the potential for us to get stormy on Tuesday.  IF a Gulf low forms and IF it moves to our south, we’ll stay cool with just a heavy rain threat.  But IF the low tracks to our north & west, we will get into the warm sector & possibly some severe storms.  Stay tuned.
