Wow, looking at the latest computer models tonight, things are setting up for a major storm to sweep out of the SW on Friday and head up to the Great Lakes by Sunday. It means a huge warm up coming for the Southeast with the potential for severe weather breaking out on Saturday into Sunday. The greatest threat should stay north of us, however, IF the upper disturbance digs a little farther south, we could see strong storms rumble over us before daybreak on Sunday. Ahead of the front, we’ll turn windy & warm with temps flirting with record highs on Saturday (80+). Behind the front we’ll turn sharply colder for the beginning of Christmas week, but it appears 1) we will not get too cold (for snow) & there will be no moisture around. Stay tuned!
