March Still Roaring...

In my youth, the old saying was If" March comes in like a Lion (snowy, windy, cold) it goes out like a Lamb (warm & nice)"...& vise versa.   I've since learned that had ZERO scientific basis to it.  This month for much of the nation east of the Rockies, March came in roaring & will go out roaring.  A major Nor'easter is staying just far enough offshore to spare the big cities of the NE an incapacitating blizzard.  Still, winds are expected to gust 50-70 mph Wednesday making for major travel delays.  This is the same system that has brought us our late season chill as a freeze warning is in effect north of Lake P.    After tonight, the rest of the week will see a warm up as several upper disturbances bring us some showers late Thursday into Friday.  our next weak front arrives on Saturday, but out ahead of it on Friday could be our 1st 80+ day in March.   The weekend will be slightly cooler but dry & pleasant, nothing brutal.   FYI...Green Bay tonight is 15 degrees with the morning low expected to be 5-10 degrees.  Egad, do I love living in the South in the Spring?   Yea baby!
