May makes top ten?

With 2.43" of rain in Kenner today, the total May rainfall at MSY might end up as the 10th wettest all time.   Final figures will be out tomorrow.   The current wet pattern does show signs of ending but not until Tuesday of next week.  Sunday will likely see another day of above normal clouds & showers with some locally heavy downpours.  The drying trend arrives by Tuesday meaning we'll see hotter highs of 90+.  Get ready for real Summer to begin.

The 2014 hurricane Season begins Sunday & The American computer model (GFS) is trying to develop the 1st named storm late next week over the southern Gulf moving towards the west coast of Florida.  The European model wants no part of it and until that model starts seeing something, I'm not to concerned.  Stay tuned!
