Stalled Pattern makes for dry Forecast...

Today is day 5 without rain.  No big deal yet as the high was only 85.  Once we reach 90+ (which could happen later this week), we need our daily showers just to keep the plants & grass from turning brown.   The current upper air pattern has deep troughs along both coast with a building ridge in between right over us.   In meteorology it's called an "Omega Block", usually a pattern that lingers for 4-5+ days.  Computer models are forecast this pattern to last into early next week.  That'll mean our dry spell will be approaching 2 weeks. If this were to redevelop in late june, July or August, we'd be talking about highs flirting with 100+.  A little too early for that kind of heat, but you know what's coming.    I suspect we'll start to see our typical daytime heating T-Storms develop by next Tuesday so our lawns & gardens will require some watering before then.
