Arthur Trying To Form in Gulf?

Despite fairly high SW wind shear over the extreme southern Gulf, NHC has increased the probability for development of a tropical storm in the Bay of Campeche in the next 2 days.  They have scheduled a Hurricane Hunter aircraft to investigate this system Friday afternoon.   With a blocking upper ridge over us, IF Arthur does form, he would be steered WNW into Mexico.  We have zero reason to worry about this disturbance.   It should be a mostly dry & hot weekend all along the northern Gulf Coast.   Stay tuned!
