Cold is Coming, Will It Snow?

Today's computer guidance is slightly colder than the past several days and might get even colder if a snow cover lays down over the deep South.   As Shelby Latino pointed out earlier this week on FOX 8's morning news, the tricky part is the Arctic air will be chasing the precipitation and will it get cold enough before the precip. is swept away?   Both main models are saying there will be some snow/sleet across SE LA/MS with the better chances coming north of the Lake & into Mississippi.  IF this does happen,  it will be between 4 & 9 AM Tuesday morning.   Our coldest morning will be Wednesday with the North Shore dipping to 22-25 and the South Shore 28-33.   Those number could be lower IF several inches of snow covers the ground and skies clear.   Bottom line, for sure the cold is coming with the snow chances not so great...Yet!

In the short term, We should get into the 60s both Sunday & Monday before Tuesday's highs stay in the high 30s.   This will not be a long lasting Arctic outbreak with a warm up starting by Thursday afternoon.  I took all my potted flowers out of my back shed and will leave them out until Monday afternoon.  They'll be back in the shed for Monday night Through Thursday.  The wild card regarding how cold we get will be the amount of, or lack of, any snow cover.  Stay tuned!
