Endure the Uglies, Better Weather Coming...

Friday wasn't exactly in the dumper (or dumpster) as most of the day was dry.  But the low clouds and much cooler temperatures made for an ugly day.   Saturday won't be much better as it'll stay chilly (in 50s) with little sunshine, but better days are coming.  Some sun will return on Sunday and most of next week looks dry with seasonal (upper 60 to lower 70s) temperatures.  Long range model guidance indicates no major systems coming during the next 5-7 days and March could go out like a lamb?    The Corps of Engineers is going to start closing some of the 200+ bays open on the Spillway as the River is cresting and should slowly fall for another week.   However, as snow melt and recent heavy rains up north head out way, the Spillway is likely to have some bays open well into April.   All in all, expect a quiet weather pattern.

The big Irish Parade in old Metairie on Sunday should have no weather problems.  If we see some sunshine, highs could approach 70.   Stay tuned!
