A Nip in the Air...

I was out walking Bailey tonight and noticed the 61 degrees felt quite chilly.  That's because the 15-20+ mph winds made it feel like in the 50s.  Heck it was warmer in Montana today that in NOLA.  The reason is a deep east coast upper low is dragging way below normal cool air into the Gulf South.   40s have plunged down into central Alabama & Mississippi and we could see some 40s here in SE LA. tomorrow morning.  Record lows at this time of the year are in the low to mid 40s so I don't think we'll quite make it that cold.   However, if you're up early on Saturday, you will need a light jacket or sweater.   Highs will quickly warm to 70+ and it will feel warmer since we won't have the strong winds like today.   Easter Sunday looks even better as early sunrise services will be in the 50s with afternoon highs 75-80.   This good feel air should linger around into early next week with our next rain maker not arriving until Wednesday or Thursday.    The big storms we had yesterday have moved to the east coast with nothing but high pressure building in for our weekend.  Enjoy.  Stay tuned!
