Pay Attention Time...

The well advertised severe threat is approaching with the highest danger coming between 2-5 PM this afternoon.  I'm encouraged that SPC did NOT increase the severe threat level to moderate (level 4) keeping it at the enhanced level (3).   As usual, the greater probabilities will be north of Lake P.  on into central Mississippi & Alabama.  What I'm seeing is a fast moving system that should not bring a widespread flood event to the South Shore.   It's just "pay attention" time for the next 4-5 hours.  Have your phone nearby with the FOX 8 Weather App & then tune into David Bernard if any warnings are issued for your area.   Again, from what I'm seeing, the greater danger for severe storms/tornadoes will be farther to the north of Metro NOLA.  Let FOX 8 be your calming influence.  Stay tuned!
