Focus Shifts From Dorian to Record Heat...
Hurricane Dorian just won't die as she has cleared the North Carolina coast and is pulling away from any land. Without the friction of land decreasing his winds, Dorian appears to be getting organized once again as he heads towards eastern Canada. As Bruce mentioned on his new program, the name Dorian will be retired never to be used again. His memory will last a lifetime for many across he northern Bahamas.
Looking over the Gulf & Caribbean, all is quiet for awhile, but it is September so expect more action in a week or two.
Our issues will be too hot and too dry. With 95-100+ temps,. it doesn't take long for lawns to brown & plants to wilt. Fortunately, we don't have water issues here so I have my sprinkler going. Rain chances are not likely to go up until the middle of next week at the soonest.. The 94 degrees at noon already breaks today's record high of 93. Stay hydrated & stay tuned!
