Satellite loops indicate Humberto's circulation is becoming better organized with recon data confirming winds now up to 50 mph. Forward motion is NNW and NHC's track forecast keeps the soon to be hurricane well east of the U.S. coast.
Meanwhile, the upper low over the central Gulf is barely moving to the west with disorganized clusters of storms north and east of the low. NHC still thinks there could be some development in the 3=5 day time frame over the western Gulf.
At least some clouds spread over us today with early morning showers and that has made it less hot. Long range models still show several cold fronts coming, but not until the last week of September. We know October is coming and the longer nights and shorter days mean Fall is nearer. Stay tuned!
