Major Cool Down Coming...

While I've been watching to see if we break the record for wettest October, the main weather news will be the huge temperature drop coming for later tonight.  We will be 25-30 degrees colder with the strong winds making it feel even colder.  You can find the front on satellite and radar pics.

It appears we'll have two opportunities to break the rainfall record with a cluster of storms moving through during the next hour and another round coming ahead of the front.  Regardless, it has been very wet month after an extremely dry previous 6 weeks.
The cold air is coming out of the Rockies where there is a fresh snow cover from Montana down to Colorado.  Most of that white on satellite loops is snow since it doesn't move.  My son's backyard camera in Longmont shows bright sunshine with the snow on the ground.

Maybe this will be our Winter for a real snow storm here?  Best check the Farmer's Almanac!  Stay tuned!
