Arctic Fronts Coming...

As I mentioned in a previous post, this may be a November to remember with record breaking cold heading down over 2/3rds of the lower 48 states during the next 10-14 days.  Satellite pictures show the clouds along the frontal boundary with temps 20-30 degrees colder behind this 1st front.

We will see highs 75-80+ on Thursday, staying in the 50s on Friday and Saturday,  only in the 60s on Sunday & briefly 70+ on Monday.  Even colder air is building up in Canada with many spots below zero, and it's early in November!  Highs here next week could stay in the 40s & 50s !!!  The freeze line is likely to reach spots on the North Shore.
There are hints that the southern storm track could get active as clouds are increasing to our south & west.
So after enduring a long, hot Summer that lasted into Fall, the weather pattern has flip-flopped with the eastern upper trough driving bitter cold air down to the Gulf coast.   I will prep my yard this weekend getting my tropical plants back into my heated shed before the real chill arrives next week.   If this upper pattern lasts into Winter, we will see many freezes and maybe even the white stuff!   Stay tuned!
