Bravo The New MSY...

I picked up my sister-in-law today at the airport and am happy to report nothing but good news.   This is my 3rd time out at the New MSY and I'm getting better acquainted with where everything is located.  Remember the days, before TSA security, where you could go to the gate to meet your loved ones?   It's back, but you have to do some planning.  You can get a special day pass that allows you to go through security without having a plane ticket/boarding pass.   You have to register a day in advance for the pass, but it worked like a charm as my wife and I met Susan as she came off the plane.  We then whisked her to Leah Chase's for a cup of gumbo taking the place of waiting 25-30 minutes for your bags.  Bags were ready, picked them up, off to parking garage and then I-10 with no problems.  You  can do the same, but you have to see the "special woman" to register for the passes.   Not on list?  You won't get a pass.  Try it.
We finally got back into sunshine, but not by much.

Lots of clouds remain offshore and NWS indicates our clear skies and light winds will result in widespread fog later tonight and Christmas morning.   Temps rebounded back to 70+ and the rest of this week should stay very warm as the upper trough is over the west coast with a ridge to the east.

That has the West coast cold & rainy for Christmas.   The brutal cold air has backed into Alaska and will stay there until the first week in January  Much of the country will see several snow storms into the new year.   I really wanted Minnesota to beat Green Bay last night since we still might have to go to the frozen tundra in January IF the Pack gets the No. 1 seed.  Stay tuned!
