Wow,,,what a sports weekend with the LSU & Saints romps. So maybe we might have to go up to Green Bay or out to San Francisco to get to the Super Bowl? This team doesn't care. You just get the feeling Drew & company have locked in the last 4-5 weeks and it's the offense we remember from the past. I'll be rooting for Seattle tonight, but We're home for at least one game of the playoffs. Who Dat!
Finally cooler weather is returning as a cold front will arrive after midnight and you'll need sweaters and jackets in the morning. A thin band of showers is with the front, but the heavier rains are way north.
Skies rapidly clear behind this front so Monday and Tuesday will see lots of sunshine with comfy cool temps.
Zack Fradella mentioned this on the FOX 8 morning news and I believe he is correct. "When Alaska is super cold, the Southeast U.S. is not" When Alaska starts to warm, then the cold air heads into the lower 48.
Alaska has warmed about 20 degrees and it appears the super cold is shifting into Canada. Computer models are developing an eastern trough for the first 1-2 weeks in January and we'll need to pay attention to see if the upper trough is deep enough to drag the real cold down to us. It won't come with this weeks front, but the following weeks could get interesting. Stay tuned!
