This morning's band of T-Storms has pushed over to the Florida beaches with clearing skies making for a pleasant afternoon here.
The cold front is pushing into the Gulf, but it won't stay there for long. The real cold air behind it will stay to our north as we'll see a nice Sunday with comfy temps. before clouds and some showers return on Monday. Despite some bitterly cold air entering the northern tier of states, next week here looks to stay very mild as the storm track will be well to our north.
Some time during the following week, we're likely to go back to January reality with several surges of Arctic air plunging down towards us. The key sign for the cold to head southward is for Alaska to start warming, and that is not happening yet.
So let's enjoy our Sunday weather before some moisture comes back for Monday. Fortunately, we have a Dome stadium so the weather will not be a factor in LSU's win Monday night. Geaux Tigers!
Stay tuned!
