Semi Gloomy Week Ahead...

After 2 days with bright sunshine, we will enter a stretch where clouds will rule with limited sunshine at best.

The approaching cloud shield to our west doesn't have any cooler air or much rain...yet.   Models are keeping the bulk of the rain off our coast on Sunday, but we'll probably see some nuisance showers from time to time.  Monday and Tuesday look mostly dry, but I don't think clouds will clear as they did after this last system.  Wednesday has another fast moving upper system sweep through so next week will be fairly typical for late January.  Models still are hinting at much colder air diving into the U.S.for the 1st two weeks in February.

As you can see, there still is plenty of super cold (35-49+ below zero) up in Alaska & northern Canada.   This is normally our coldest 2-3 weeks of the Winter so we have ample time to have more freeze threats.   I'll let you know when I bring my potted plants back into my He-Shed.  Stay tuned!
