Where's The Snow???

January often brings some of the coldest and snowiest weather to the lower 48, but not this year so far.   The South is getting soaked with rain, but the only snow is in the Rockies.  Even Green Bay is above freezing!

We have jumped back into the warm sector as highs were around 80.  Can you pick out where the warm front is?   Hint Monroe 56, MSY 78, ATL 46!
A large cloud shield will cover us into early Saturday and we'll see several lines of showers move through beginning late tonight lasting until near dark on Friday.  Saturday and Sunday look beautiful with plenty of sunshine and comfy cool temperatures.

As predicted by SPC & NWS Slidell, the heaviest rains have been to our north and west today.  We could get another 1-2" over night, but our pumps should be able to handle that.   OK, the forecast for Green Bay on January 12 says the highs will be 30-35 with some snow showers around.   That would be far better than the famous "Ice Bowl" game when Green Bay beat Dallas in near zero temperatures.  RIGHT NOW, models are not bringing any super cold to Green Bay next weekend.  However, the super cold (40-50 below zero) is showing up again in northern Canada and we will watch to see if it starts to rumble south.

As we all know, our guys have to beat the Vikings first.   Green Bay can wait another week.  My gut tells me the Vikings will be pumped and it will be a very physical game.   However, Drew turns 41 later this month and he knows his window is closing.  He will be super focused and sharp.  Saints 41 Vikings 24 and it won't be that close.  Who Dat!  Stay tuned!
