Rain May Be a Pain...

Seems the last weekend of Mardi Gras always has a rain threat for some parades, and this year will be no different.   There is an upper disturbance along the West Coast that will head our way for Monday into Tuesday bringing a rain threat that, RIGHT NOW, looks to be highest between 9 PM Monday through daybreak on Fat Tuesday.

Today has been a terrific day for parade watching and so should Sunday as a large area of high pressure covers the Southeast.  Temps are slightly below February normal, but quite comfortable with most of the nation above freezing.

Some super cold (25-30 below zero) air lingers over northern Canada and models bring that air southward into the U.S. for the Wednesday after Mardi Gras.  In fact, models are developing an east coast trough for the first week in March so Winter is far from over for us and the Gulf South.  We will stay mild for the next 3 days, so the only real question is, when will the showers show up?  Stay tuned!
