Morning Turning Stormy...

Even though SPC has shifted the greatest threat for severe weather well to our east, we still remain in a level 2 risk area.

A large area of T-Storms with heavy rainfall and lightning is moving onshore across the South Shore so we need to pay attention for the next 2-3 hours.     We are in the warm air sector and today really feels more like summer as dewpoints have soared into the 70s.

The main upper energy with this system is way up in Missouri with a surface low in northern Arkansas.    Until the cold front arrives later this afternoon, there will be the possibility for strong storms to develop.

Behind the front, drier air will make for a better feeling Friday and Saturday.  I might update later this afternoon as, like you, many of us are stuck at home with nothing to do and all day to do it!  Stay tuned!
