Severe Threat Late Friday, Great Weekend...

We are enjoying lovely weather as the last cold front has swept way down into the Gulf with a large area of high pressure right over us.

However, you can see a slug of moisture coming northward over Texas where dew points have soared back into the 60s & 70s.  Here the DPs remain in the 40s making it feel great outside.  As the high shifts to the east and a strong upper disturbance dips towards to Southeast, we'll see some strong storms approach us for Late tomorrow into the early hours after dark.

SPC has the greatest threat for severe storms to our north and west, but we could get in on the action towards dark so Friday is a pay attention day.    Behind the front another surge of cooler and drier air will make for a terrific weekend.  Stay tuned!
