Gonzo Groaning, Hanna Coming Soon...

This is a quick morning update since a new Recon plane is heading to our Gulf disturbance to see if we have our H named storm.   T.S. Gonzalo has hit a bump in the road and looks very ragged on the latest satellite pictures.

NHC still says he'll become a hurricane, but they caution their intensity forecast is highly uncertain.  Since the Euro dissipates Gonzalo over the Caribbean beyond 5 days, we'll focus on soon to be Hanna.

Clusters of T-Storms have developed around where the center of TD 8 appears to be and I'm confident the Recon will find high enough winds to upgrade to T.S. Hanna, maybe even as soon as the 1 PM advisory.   The centerline track was shifted slightly farther to the south (away from us) this morning with the 10 AM advisory keeping it unchanged from the 4 AM update.

The top graphic is from 10 PM last night with the centerline right over Victoria while the latest has it between Victoria & Corpus Christi.   That's where the main impacts will be.   We'll have some rain bands today and tomorrow, but there will be many dry periods between squalls.  Another update after 4 PM.  Stay tuned!
