Lower Humidity Oh So Close...

It's hard to find fronts on the surface weather map during August as it's too soon to get any really cooler air.  Nope, the typical late August front is mainly about lower humidity/drier air.

We have one boundary hugging our coast line with drier air/lower dew points almost down to us.  Dallas is 95 but their dew point is 57!   That will allow them to cool down a little after the sun sets.   I still think we could see lower dew points here for Wednesday before the Gulf moisture returns in earnest later this week.

Most of our state is rain free with only a few storms along the coast.   These are slow movers so you can get 1-2" in less than an hour.

There is no real news with the Tropics as we have 2 disturbances that NHC believes will be our next named storms. (Laura, Marco).  The stronger, better organized disturbance is in the mid Atlantic and I believe that will be Laura.  Over the eastern Caribbean is a disorganized area of clouds that should develop once over the western Caribbean.  Models continue to show that going to Texas for next week.  Too soon to know about the one in the Atlantic.  It's pay attention time.  Stay tuned!
