NHC has increased to 100% the chances for a tropical depression/storm will form either tonight or tomorrow, but it's way out over the central Atlantic so we'll have many days to follow it.
Check out these satellite views showing huge fires burning in many of the western states. My oldest son (Rob) called from Longmont, CO. and said it was "raining ash" in his yard despite clear skies. The fire north of Fort Collins was producing a smoke plume so large & high up that you could even see a shadow on the eastern side as the sun was setting.
Other fires can be seen in Idaho (3 plumes) , NW Wyoming, Utah east of Salt Lake and multiple large fires in central and northern California. The smoke plumes are impressive and extensive. Some relief is coming for Colorado as snow is predicted Tuesday & Wednesday. Hard to believe snow when today they were in the 90s! Next update tomorrow morning. Stay tuned!
