From Spring back to Winter...It's Sprinter!

After near record high temperatures, a strong cold front has reminded us we can still get chilly in late March.  The front brought a sharp temperature drop, but only some brief downpours.  The main issue overnight will be increasing north winds.

The cold front stands out as a band of clouds over the South with a wider clouds shield across the NE & Great Lakes.  looking behind the front one can see nothing but most clear skies.

Since we have no more storms coming into the West coast during the next 5-7 days, we should see a dry pattern set in for much of the nation.

A huge ridge of high pressure is building southward out of Canada bringing down colder & drier air.  Note the dew points to tou north and west fall into the 20s & 30s indicating very dry good feel air.   As the high settles over us on Friday & Saturday mornings, there is the potential for some frost on the North Shore and away from the Lake south.  Water temps in Lake P. now are in the 70s so that should keep the South Shore from getting too cold.

All in all, if you are dressed for it, the next 5-7 days look to be delightful before the humidity returns later next week.  Get out and enjoy this welcomed break as you know what's right around the block. (May-September).   Stay tuned!
