A weak upper disturbance over Texas brought back some clouds and rain over southern Louisiana. However, since our surface air is so dry (dew points still in 40s), most of the rain evaporated before reaching the ground.
That upper system is expected to drift down into the Gulf allowing clouds to clear and sunshine to return on Easter Sunday. The large, cold high pressure that brought us the cool, dry air is shifting to the East Coast with the Winter-like cold air on full retreat.
This upcoming week will see a big warm up back into the 70s & 80s with little chance for any rainfall.
A weak front might bring a few showers late Thursday, but it won't be much as the upper energy stays far to the north. For tomorrow morning's Easter sunrise services, it might be a little nippy, but not too bad. Enjoy the rest of the day & Happy Easter Gang. Stay Tuned!
