Dang, It Doesn't Feel like late May...

I'm not complaining, but in my 43 previous Springs here, I don't remember feeling pleasant outside during the last week in May.  In fact, usually we were in the typical heat & humidity of Summer.  But not today and part of that is due to a cloud cover associated with a cold front that will push off our coast before dawn tomorrow,

Some showers & a couple of T-Storms have developed along the front to our NW and we still could squeeze out some rain during the next 2-3 hours before the drying process begins.  Look at the lower dewpoints (40s & 50s) to our north that will spread over us tonight and make for a comfy cool feel, especially north of Lake P.

The heat (90 at Houston) to our west will stay put for the next 2 days as high pressure builds in from the north.   Sunday and Monday will see mostly sunny skies with low humidity and very comfortable temps (mid 80s) for the rest of this weekend.
It is not this nice everywhere across the nation.  In fact look at how chilly it is from the Great Lakes into the NE.   Burrr!

As we head towards the beginning of the 2021 Hurricane season, no models are indicating any action for the next 7-10 days or longer.

FOX 8 will have their annual hurricane special this coming Tuesday (June 1st) at 6:30 PM.  Set you recorders in case you forget to watch.  Since all the other channels are making changes with their weather staffs, FOX 8 clearly has the most experienced & credentialed meteorologists in our city.  Over the years, our knowledge & experience has earned your trust.  I'm proud to remain a part of the FOX 8 weather team through my blog.   Let's hope the predicted active season tales the storms to another state this year.  We deserve a break!   Stay tuned!
