We began the month with 3 very wet weeks before Mother Nature turned off the faucet for the last 10 days. The current total of 12.80" will make this the 5th wettest May (3rd straight month of 5th wettest!), but I sure thought we'd up in higher.
There are some showers north of Lake P., and we still have a slight chance for a stray shower in Kenner, but radar is not showing much. Compared to much of the eastern U.S., our weekend will be terrific.
It is downright nasty up north with low clouds, some rain and chilly temps.
I expect the front to clear us over night and move far enough off our coast to make for a delightful weekend here. Go out and enjoy the low humidity as June is coming. Stay tuned!
