"Cool" Front Welcomes in Fall With Lower Humidity...

Today began rather gloomy with lots of clouds that gave way to lots of sunshine this afternoon.  The big difference was the feel of lower humidity that should last into Saturday.

We still topped 80 today, but look at the dew points in the 40s all the way down to Brownsville.  As that air spreads over us, look for nighttime lows in the upper 40s far north, 50s North Shore and away from Lake P. south with the rest of us 65-70 except right near the Lake.

Brisk north winds will settle down during the day on Thursday and the deep upper low over the ohio Valley ensures us of a dry pattern for 4-5 days.  No rain is expected until next week.

NHC is following several areas out in the Atlantic, but only TD # 18 is something we need to watch.

Peter and Rose are weakening depressions while TD 18 will become our next named storm (Sam) shortly.  Most computer models keep him going north of the Islands and Puerto Rico, but one (Euro) takes him farther to the south.

Note the NHC official track has soon to be Sam becoming a Major Hurricane (Cat. 3) by Sunday.  It is not a fast moving system and we'll have a long time following him before we need to get nervous.  Right now, let's enjoy the great Fall Feeling.  Stay tuned!
