Nicholas Finally Saying Goodbye

I'm running out of things to say about Nicholas, and most of you I'm sure are sick of him too. This will be a brief post since the tropics haven't changed and nothing is really developing. Satellite views show the weak remains of Nicholas around Lake Charles.

Dryer air wrapping around the south side actually brought us some sunny breaks today allowing some spots to get back above 90. Radar views confirm Nicholas is slowly dissipating, however an upper trough over Texas will keep our shower activity above normal into the weekend.

It should be a mostly dry night except along the coast. All is not lost as we look ahead into next week.

As you can see the next four to five days you will be dodging showers, but there is hope by Wednesday a cold front might actually bring us some dryer or cooler air for late next week. Yippee, even before October arrives the good feel air is coming. Stay tuned!
