Painfully Slow Drying Trend Will Continue...

Each day our overall shower coverage has been decreasing,  However, some folks, like Port Fourchon, got wacked again this morning.  Luckily most of the rain has pulled away from us and the Flood Watch was allowed to expire.

Unless some new storms redevelop offshore, tonight should be rain free. The satellite view over the Gulf still has clusters of storms, but coverage has decreased since yesterday.  So now we focus on our next cold front.

You have to look to the northern Rockies to find our cool relief.  That's still several days away so we're still stuck with the heat & humidity along with some spotty downpours a while longer.

As for the Tropics...

Odette was a one day wonder and NHC has issued their last advisory.   Everything else is so far out that it's not worth speculating about.  Models put nothing in the Caribbean or Gulf for the next 7-10 days and that almost gets us to October.  Like the Beach Boys song says..."Wouldn't it be nice if our Tropical weather season is over?!!!"  OK, maybe it didn't say exactly that !  Stay tuned!
