The Gulf & Caribbean remain quiet with no model developing anything for the next 10-14 days. There is an upper low east of Florida with a small surface low off the North Carolina coast. With the upper low so close, this is a hostile environment for tropical development. However, NHC is likely to name it "sub-tropical Storm" Wanda later tonight or tomorrow.
There is the hint of banding off the Carolina coast, but there is also some rotation east of Florida with the upper low. Whatever, we don't need to pay attention since it's not in the Gulf.
With the upper low not moving much, it will stall the surface pattern over us that has a ridge of high pressure pushing the Gulf moisture away from us. The rest of this weekend will stay dry and warm and that likely will be the story for most of next week.
