YO October, Why Do I Love Thee?

Besides it being my birth month, there's a lot to love about our driest month.   Let me count the ways.   Crisp (not cold) Sunrises,  Mostly dry for weeks, Warm, comfortable afternoons with low humidity. Reduced Hurricane threats.   Need I go on?

When you have dew points in the 40s & 50s, that is the really good feel air.  We should have one more night this before SE winds will start the process of bringing back the Muggies.

Our weekend front pushed way off the East coast and even down through Florida.  It's really chilly over the NE behind the front & out west where our next system is churning over Utah.

The main energy with that system will stay well to our north, but the return flow off the Gulf could trigger a few showers here Wednesday & Thursday.   Without a front coming, I don't expect any widespread heavy rainfall or any cooler air.   In fact, the next 2 weeks look to be above normal/average temperature-wise.

Models continue to show no tropical activity for the next 10-14 days which gets us to November.  Will we ever see Wanda?   The clock is ticking and the "Fat Lady" has sung.  OH October, we so love thee!  Stay tuned!
